Code Of Conduct for Civic Issues Tracking System

1.01. Accept full responsibility for their own work.

We  develop the civic issues tracking system for the government area to relevant authorities. We have to implement a mobile app, web site and desktop application. One of them implement by each of us. We divided the work we have to do in our project among three of us and we all took responsibility for our work. 


1.02. Moderate the interests of the software engineer, the employer, the client and the users with the public good.

We gathering information doing server. Mainly client said, they need users get more attraction about this. Then we had to doing some extra work to promote this within public. Using this app and web site as a public service. 


1.03. Approve software only if they have a well-founded belief that it is safe, meets specifications, passes appropriate tests, and does not diminish quality of life, diminish privacy or harm the environment. The ultimate effect of the work should be to the public good.

We thought at the begin how to meets client requirements within these three applications. Then we cannot reduce life cycle of the quality. There is a huge issue of these applications. If the user can report wrong details to the web site. Then the particular local government council get action. But there no trouble. If arise these type of issue, we decided blacklist that user furthermore. Little harm for the government office.


1.04. Disclose to appropriate persons or authorities any actual or potential danger to the user, the public, or the environment, that they reasonably believe to be associated with software or related documents.

There are more trouble in the staff of the councils. If there any wrong details they got, they get the action. Finally they know that was wrong. But they wast time and other things for get correct that issue in public.  Any user do that type of thing we blacklist he/she.


1.05. Cooperate in efforts to address matters of grave public concern caused by software, its installation, maintenance, support or documentation.

Using this mobile app and website users can get some problems. In the installation part they can easily install the mobile app. Then the maintenance part, they have little issues. Because if they report any wrong details they will blacklist. They have to focus about their information is correct or not.


1.06. Be fair and avoid deception in all statements, particularly public ones, concerning software or related documents, methods and tools.

We had to promote this application within public. But, we didn't add any of deceptions within any document we wrote.No cheat for users and client.


1.07. Consider issues of physical disabilities, allocation of resources, economic disadvantage and other factors that can diminish access to the benefits of software.

Our system has one mobile application and desktop application. Users wants a android phone for use this application. Then councils wants a computer. These are the resource for our system. Users have to report the problem in area to application. Then the operator of the council get that problem in him/she database. This mobile application can freely download. There are no economic disadvantages.



1.08. Be encouraged to volunteer professional skills to good causes and contribute to public education concerning the discipline.

We have think widely for that point. How to get public attraction to this application. We will do some seminars around island. Then we have to improve skills in users. 


2.01. Provide service in their areas of competence, being honest and forthright about any limitations of their experience and education.

We have to divided the people in classes in their experience and education. Some areas most people have good knowledge. We got more issues in this point. We got education details and experience of the people of using these applications. Then we can provide our service to them.


2.02. Not knowingly use software that is obtained or retained either illegally or unethically.

Any person can use this mobile application illegally or unethically. If a person enter wrong details to database, system block he/she. He/She is doing again and again entering wrong details then councils get legal action against him/she.
